Enter and print documents

All document types use the same line-item entry — from quote to vendor invoice.

Document types

  • Outgoing documents: Quote to prospect or customer, prepayment, order, packing slip, delivery note, invoice, credit note.
  • Incoming documents: Inquiry, purchase order, goods receipt, vendor invoice, supplier credit note.
  • Internal documents: Maintenance contract, work order; additionally stock document and inventory.

Enter line items

  1. Click on New line and search for the item. After selection the cursor moves to Quantity.
  2. Complete description, additional text, unit, unit price, discount and tax. netERP calculates net and gross.
  3. Accept (Enter) saves the line, Discard (Esc) discards it.

In addition to items there are line types: sub-line, header, free text, subtotal, alternative, optional and page break. Lines are numbered 1, 1.1, 1.1.3; when moved sub-lines move with them. Alternative and optional lines are not included in the total.

Bill of materials

If an item has a bill of materials, netERP asks whether the components should be inserted as sub-lines — at any depth. Afterwards you can recalculate the main line’s price from the components.

Totals and taxes

The footer of the document shows net, one line per tax rate and gross. Each document stores the item data itself; a reprint therefore looks the same even if the item is changed later.

Printing and PDF

Print (Ctrl+P) opens the preview with paging, zoom, print and PDF export. Each document type is available in German and English; the document language determines which is used. Packing slip, delivery note, inquiry and work order are printed without prices.
