Freiburg Black Forest DACH region Long-term collaboration

Location with substance

Freiburg provides our work with a direct, sustainable and long-term viable framework.

Read inventory respectfully

We do not modernize blindly; we take ownership of and rationalize systems with technical diligence and attention to resources.

Locally present, effective across regions

Portals, services, hosting and support for our customers extend well beyond Freiburg.

Key deep dives into this topic

Net-Base is based in Freiburg im Breisgau, on the edge of the Black Forest and in the triangle bordering Switzerland and France. This location is not decor for us, but part of our way of working: short distances, clear communication, technical depth, a respectful approach to existing systems and an environmental mindset that prefers sensible modernization to unnecessary replacement.

Freiburg

Short distances, direct exchange, calm project start

We prefer to work with companies that do not need to go through multiple rounds before technical questions are put cleanly on the table. Freiburg fits exactly this kind of collaboration.

Black Forest

Treat existing systems with respect and still modernize

Our projects often revolve around mature applications. The focus on structure, longevity and controlled renewal suits the landscape and pace of this region.

DACH region

Regionally rooted, technically deployable across borders

From Freiburg we work for companies whose applications, portals, services and support must not end at a city boundary, but must function reliably across sites and teams.

Environmental mindset

Technical sustainability instead of throwaway IT

For us Freiburg also implies a conscious use of resources. Those who intelligently evolve applications, data models and infrastructure extend technical lifespan, avoid unnecessary detours and prevent costly complete replacements that deliver no technical benefit.

Freiburg sets the right pace for our work

Between the old town, the university, the hospital, industry and the routes into the Black Forest lies for us exactly the right mix of groundedness and technical ambition. We do not work from a metropolis where everything is just pitch and pace, but from an environment in which long-term collaboration, technical substance, sensible decisions and a credible environmental mindset fit together.

Between the city, the Black Forest and genuine project work

The Black Forest is not only geographically on our doorstep. It also stands for an attitude that is often missing in software development: look at things thoroughly, understand structures, not recklessly clear out every legacy and still modernize consistently when it is technically necessary.

Many companies come to us not because they want an interchangeable standard site or a short agency project, but because they need a dependable technical line. That fits our way of working. We assume responsibility for grown applications, order architecture, build portals, services and integrations so they run quietly in daily use, and we also make clear where existing systems should be retained and where a cut is sensible.

From Freiburg we deliberately work with companies that value traceable decisions, clear communication and long-term maintainable enterprise software. This applies equally to local collaboration and to supra-regional projects with hosting, support and ongoing development. That we prefer to preserve viable existing logic and renew it selectively is for us also a form of technical sustainability.

  • clear technical responsibility instead of a loose agency model
  • read grown systems before restructuring them
  • sustainable modernization instead of premature complete rebuilds
  • calm communication and reliable decisions
  • Freiburg as a location with close connections into the DACH region
Landscape in the Black Forest with a view of the Feldberg
The Black Forest evokes endurance and structure more than loud marketing. That is precisely why it suits the way we run software projects.

A location with principles

For us Freiburg combines technical density, accessible contacts and an environment where durable work counts more than short-term noise.

How our work has evolved

For more than 30 years we have supported enterprise applications that must carry day-to-day operations. That did not produce an interchangeable agency model, but a technical line: first understand, then structure, then extend in a controlled manner and finally assume responsibility in operation.

Origin

Desktop, databases and real-world processes from the start

Our roots lie in applications directly connected to administration, sales, analysis, reporting or internal core processes. That is precisely why we still think of software not only as a UI, but always with data model, roles and operations.

Further development

Grown applications became architectures with a future

Over time REST-servers, Windows and Linux-services, portals, registration and licensing logic as well as hosting were added. The red thread remained the same: do not replace existing systems blindly, but arrange them so companies can continue working and the technology becomes viable again.

Today

Multiplatform, integration and long-term responsibility

Today we combine Delphi, C#, web portals, database restructurings and integrations into a line that is prepared for Windows, macOS, Linux and current target platforms. What matters to us is not the buzzword, but a structure that endures in operation.

Project environments and partner companies

Some of our work is directly visible under Net-Base, while other work runs through products, platforms and partner companies. The links below show concrete environments in which our technical work has become visible over years.

netScope

C# product line with viewer, server and cloud perspective

netScope shows how a specialized viewer becomes an extensible product family. Roles, data, annotations, deployment stages and product development integrate cleanly there.

BPV GmbH

netNotdienst as a technical system in real-world pharmacy operations

With netNotdienst it is not just an application, but the interplay of client, server, hardware, state logic and safe operation in everyday use. This is precisely where rigorous technical responsibility is evident.

Net-Base

Our own software portal, references and ongoing operation

Our own environment also demonstrates how we treat portals, registration processes, content, SEO, multilingual support and technical maintenance not separately but as a cohesive platform.

What companies experience when working with us

We distinguish between show and substance

When a project needs more architecture, data model, operational logic and accountability than surface cosmetics, we are in our element.

We do not view location provincially, but as focused

For us, Freiburg does not mean small, but focused: manageable distances, direct coordination and room for sound technical decisions.

We prefer to work on long-lived solutions

Many of our projects do not start from scratch. Precisely for that reason, our strength often lies in technically reordering existing systems, evolving them resource-efficiently and making them durable over years.

You are looking for a technical partner with regional roots and clean architecture

Then Freiburg is for us not only a location, but also an appropriate stance for collaboration: clear, precise, reachable and reliable over the long term.

Next step

If you have a concrete modernization, API, or platform question, we should define the technical scope clearly and early.

Net-Base evaluates existing systems, data flows, interfaces and target platforms not in isolation but in the context of domain logic, operations and future extensibility.

  • Current state, target state and technical risks are assessed jointly.
  • REST, data access, portals and rollout are not deferred as afterthoughts.
  • You can determine early which path is economically and operationally viable.
