Service portfolio
Our services at a glance
Analysis. Modernization. Implementation.
Custom software solutions, BDE replacement and database restructuring underway.
Technical Target Architectures
We treat services as architectural paths.
These three sketches illustrate how we typically assemble functional building blocks: modernization without functional discontinuity, services built on the same core, and a clean Layer-3-cut.
Controlled modernization of existing systems
Domain logic is retained while data access, services and new clients are expanded in a structured, controlled manner.
Connect portals and services
The API, the portal and the background logic share the same domain core instead of implementing parallel, ad‑hoc paths.
Separate responsibilities cleanly
Client, business logic and data access are separated early to make maintenance and further development more predictable and less disruptive.
Suitable Service and Technology Paths
Important deep dives on this topic
Our services target companies that are not merely seeking a new user interface, but reliable software for real operational processes, clear responsibilities and a technical extension path that remains viable years from now.
Custom enterprise software and Layer-3 applications
We develop process-oriented enterprise software for sales, administration, planning, reporting and internal core processes. The focus is on roles, data, traceability, maintainability and an architecture that makes change predictable.

Multiplatform
Multiplatform with Delphi
We develop and modernize Delphi applications for Windows, macOS and Linux. This includes classic desktop clients as well as demanding specialized UIs with a shared codebase and clear operational logic.

REST & Portals
Services, REST servers and portals
We build Windows- and Linux-services, REST servers, customer areas, self-service portals and integration layers so they do not sit loosely next to the application, but connect cleanly both functionally and technically.

Interfaces
Interfaces, data flows, platform targets
Whether financial accounting, third-party systems, API connections, database refactoring or target platforms such as Windows 11 ARM64: we design integrations so that data remains consistent, traceable and controllable.

Analysis and structure
Business processes, user roles, data objects, platform targets and edge cases are cleanly organized before implementation.
Architecture and security
We define responsibilities early between UI, Layer-3 business logic, data access, services, background jobs and deployment.
Delivery in stages
We implement complex projects in controllable increments so that new clients, REST servers and platform targets remain verifiable and operationally manageable.
Technically sound modernization of legacy Delphi applications
A frequent case in mature companies: the business logic is valuable, but the application still depends on old database accesses, historically grown tables or BDE dependencies. We modernize precisely these systems in a controlled way and, if necessary, extend them with new platforms, services and interfaces.
Replace Borland BDE with native connectivity
We replace old BDE access patterns and migrate to native database drivers so that performance, stability, deployment and maintainability align again.
Reorder database structure, REST and services
Tables, indexes, character sets, transactions, server logic and legacy special paths are rationalized so the data foundation becomes viable again for extensions, services and analyses.
Incremental migration without operational disruption
We plan the migration so that existing workflows continue to run while data access, user interfaces, Layer-3-structure and platform objectives are modernized in a controlled manner.
Typical modernization scenario
An existing Delphi application still runs on BDE, local file formats or legacy SQL logic. We replace these legacy artifacts with native integrations, clean up data access and establish a foundation for Windows, macOS, Linux, REST servers and further expansion stages.
Why companies engage us
- When standard software represents processes only through costly detours or unclear workarounds.
- When existing Delphi logic is functionally valuable but must be technically reorganized for Windows, macOS and Linux.
- When desktop software, REST servers, services, access control and data storage should finally interact cleanly.
- When operation, hosting, release processes, Windows 11 ARM64 and later maintainability must be considered from the outset.
Do you already have an operational system?
Then we do not start from scratch, but with a realistic inventory: what is stable, what slows things down, what can remain, where the database needs restructuring, which services are missing and which platform objectives should be rebuilt cleanly.
Frequently asked questions about our services
Especially with evolved applications the same functional and technical questions often arise. We clarify these points early, before an initiative turns into a diffuse large-scale project.
Do you also take on existing Delphi systems?
Yes. We regularly step into evolved Delphi applications, assess the existing system, data access, architecture and edge cases and continue from there in a controlled manner.
Can REST servers, portals and desktop clients originate from a single project?
Yes. Especially for enterprise applications we deliberately plan these components together so the same business logic does not split into multiple ad-hoc solutions.
Is a BDE replacement possible without a full system exchange?
In many cases yes. We extract data access, SQL and deployment step by step from the legacy structure and build a native, maintainable integration.
Do you also support operation and continued development?
Yes. Release processes, hosting, fault analysis, database maintenance and later extensions are part of our scope of work.

These short answers remain on this page. On the central FAQ landing page we additionally situate the topic in the context of architecture, modernization, platforms and operations.
Next step
If you have a concrete modernization, API or platform question, we should establish the technical scope clearly and early.
Net-Base evaluates existing systems, data paths, interfaces and target platforms not in isolation, but in the context of domain logic, operations and future expansion.
- Current state, target state and technical risks are assessed jointly.
- REST, data access, portals and rollout are not deferred to a later stage as secondary consequences.
- You can see early on which path is economically and operationally viable.
